Maria Espinoza
Counseling Intern (trilingual in Spanish, ASL, English)
Maria received her BS in psychology with a minor social work from Northern Arizona University. Afterward she gained valuable experience working with at-risk youth and their families to meet their goals within and outside of school. This work sparked a deep passion for mental health and the well-being of others and she was inspired to return to school and pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis on Family and Marriage Counseling at Grand Canyon University.
Driven by the desire to help individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, Maria approaches counseling from a holistic, person-centered perspective.
Her work is rooted in empathy and a commitment to fostering a safe, supportive space for self-reflection, growth, and positive change. Maria is passionate about empowering clients and she is dedicated to supporting them on their journey toward emotional well-being and resilience.
Outside of her professional work, Maria enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and her dog. Whether hiking, exploring new places, or simply relaxing in nature, she finds peace and renewal in these moments. Maria is also deeply committed to giving back to the community that helped shape her, and she actively looks for ways to contribute and support local initiatives that make a positive impact.
